Saina Nehwal led India to the gold medal and bonus second place in the medal tally in the Commonwealth Games final day.
Saina played brilliantly against Mew Choo Wong of Malaysia 19—21 23—21 21—13 in the women’s singles final as already Ashwini Ponnappa and Jwala Gutta fetched the doubles crown.
Though men's hockey which expected a great winning disappointed with a crushed 0-8 defeat with Australia, India got two gold medals in the badminton which gave the country of a medal tally 38 gold, 27 silver and 36 bronze medals.
