Sol Campbell rejected criticism about his physical condition as "pathetic" and said he is determined to come back to fitness in three or four weeks.
Campell said, "It's pathetic. I had been training for three days - just three days."
Former England 35 year old player was criticized to be "fat belly" on Magpies' supporters' message boards after the publication of hyped training photograph.
