As fire caught on escalator in the Ang Mo Kio Hub Mall caused around 1,000 people to be evacuated immediately on Tuesday.
Around 12 30 PM Tuesday today the escalator from basement one going to the first level in the mall caused fire.
Though firefighters were called and the fire was managed in six minutes time there was still thick smoke spreading from the spot so the mall operator asked everyone to evacuate as there might be health hazard.
