16 years old Darren Choy walked on water to light the flame for the inaugural ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) 2010 at 10:30 pm yesterday.
The national sailor is a pleasant surprise for this honor as there was a strong speculation on famous sportsmen.
The two-time Byte CII sailing world champion and gold medalist at last year's Asian Youth Games was kept a tough secret that he rehearsed alone at Saturday midnight wearing a cap so that nobody could identify him.
