A train collision in West Bengal near Jharkhand border reported killed 61 lives on aound 2 AM Monday. More than 90 are urged to hospital with some of them in critical stage.
The Uttar Banga Express, from New Cooch Behar to Sealdah, at high speed slammed standing Bhagalpur-Ranchi Vananchal Express at Sainthia station in Birbhum district, about 190 kilometres from Kolkata.
The NDM National Disaster Management forces are helping the locals in recovery.
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the place and declared Rs 5 Lakh compensation for the families of dead and promised employment to one member of the families.
