The Sahara India Sports Awards 2010, a stardust fun filled event held on Saturday. 400 members of Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) shortlisted the nominees for the award and Sunil Gavaskar selected the final round.
Wrestler Sushil Kumar and boxer MC Mary Kom were honored with the sportsman of the year and sportswoman of the year respectively. Team of the year went to the Indian Davis cup team.
Best male and female athletes in the multi-sport extravaganza were given to Rifle shooter Gagan Narang and young woman archer Deepika Kumari.
