Truckers nationwide lorry strike which was scheduled for tomorrow got called off as the government accepted their demands today.
The government agreed to slash the toll tax by nearly 30 per cent for commercial vehicles.
This precisely goes from 3.40 per kilometre to Rs 2.40 per km according to Road Minister Kamal Nath.
All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) previously announced an indefinite strike from December 5, 2010.
