Finally India is going to experience the mobile number portability shortly called MNP from today. Technically its only Hariyana but Telecom Ministry promises the implementation to whole nation within new year.
The feature is common in western countries, the customer can now get more freedom on options. Even though we change to new service, the mobile number remains the same.
There won't be an sms from a new number says "Hi, this is me" and if you want to try another service, that won't be on the sack of the mobile number.
