BS Yeddyurappa today announced the budget 2011 2012 which also has agri-budget in Karnataka. Karnataka Chief Minister included tax proposals to collect around 1000 crores more.
The revenue surplus is calculated to be around Rs 1,595 crores fiscal deficit would be Rs.11,700 crore or 3.07 percent of the gross state domestic product (GSDP).
The budget session was divided in two parts with one dedicated specially to agriculture industry. The VAT on jewels, gold and other precious metals were increased to two per cent from one per cent.
